Self-control & Self-understanding

There's always a balance between SELF-CONTROL & SELF-UNDERSTANDING. 

Logic is that : THE LESS WE UNDERSTANDS THE MORE WE NEED TO CONTROL AND THE MORE WE CONTROL THE LESS WE UNDERSTANDS.

In the beginning, there's no way to progress without SELF-CONTROL. 

Yet this is only true if one doesn't have the time or the desire to observe one self and understand one's behaviour
A judgement is passed that, "THIS IS WRONG AND I SHOULD AVOID IT".

This is precisely where our conflict with ourself begins. We follow this path for years and years and find ourselves totally conflicted at the end of it.
                                           CONFUSION
Here body wants one thing and mind wants another and between these two grinding rocks our LIFE happens.

The extreme end of SELF-CONTROL doesn't exist. We can't control everything, that much is obvious.

But the extreme end of TOTAL SURRENDER is reality.

We never accidentally put our hand on fire. Why? Because we understands that fire burns. Yet, there are some fires we keep putting our hand in. Why? Because we don't yet know for sure if that fire burns.

THE ONLY WE WAY TO FIND OUT IS TO EXPERIENCE IT WITH OUR EYES OPEN.
